I thought I'd seen all of Jasper's surprises after six years together, but his plan for my 35th birthday left me speechless. It started with a blindfolded car ride. "Trust me," he said, guiding me out of the car. When the blindfold came off, I found myself in a hot air balloon basket! As we lifted off, the sun was just peeking over the horizon. Bristol unfolded beneath us like one of my illustrations coming to life. Jasper handed me a thermos of coffee and a basket filled with pastries and, of course, his amazing cheeses. Midway through our flight, he pulled out a small package. Inside was a beautiful pearl bracelet. Just when I thought the morning couldn't get any better, we landed in a field where our closest friends were waiting with a picnic breakfast. They'd all kept the secret! We spent the rest of the day lounging in the sunshine, playing silly games, and stuffing ourselves with good food and better company.
