James and I met 13 years ago in a pub in our hometown. I was out with friends celebrating a work promotion when I noticed this handsome stranger at the bar. James caught my eye and we spent the rest of the evening in deep conversation. We bonded over our love for our hometown and big dreams of traveling the world. For our 8th wedding anniversary, we wanted to celebrate close to home with friends and family. We organised a barbecue in our backyard. Old school friends and neighbours joined to help us reminisce about where it all began. As James and I slow danced under string lights, I felt gratitude for the roots we've built in Warrington and joy for the adventures still ahead.
