I can't believe this day is finally here - graduation day!
I can't believe this day is finally here - graduation day! The past four years have flown by in a blur of late night studying and early morning classes. Walking across that stage to receive my diploma feels so surreal. As Michael and I hug our proud parents, I scan the crowd hoping to spot some familiar faces. That's when Michael taps me on the shoulder. "Come with me, I want to show you something," he says with a smile. I follow him over to our old oak tree, stopping to run my fingers over the carving of the date we met so long ago. When we arrived at college, this spot under the branches became our refuge. We've shared so many happy memories here. Michael takes both of my hands in his, his eyes gazing into mine with so much love. My heart is racing, sensing something special is about to happen. Then he slowly lowers down on one knee. Tears spring to my eyes as he says, "Sarah, you are my best friend and the love of my life. Will you make me the happiest man in the world and agree to be my wife?" I can't even speak - I just throw my arms around him and nod vigorously. As he slips the ring on my finger, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Our futures are just beginning, and I can't wait to see where this next chapter in life with Michael leads.
