As Bonny and I approached our 21st wedding anniversary, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by how quickly the years had flown by.
As Bonny and I approached our 21st wedding anniversary, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by how quickly the years had flown by. Raising two teenage children during the ongoing pandemic had certainly brought its fair share of stress and arguments over the past year. Between virtual schooling, changing rules and hormones running wild, Bonny and I found our patience tested on a regular basis. More often than not, we would collapse into bed each night completely drained by the day's chaos. Still, I was determined to make sure we didn't let the craziness of family life cause us to forget the love and partnership that had seen us through two decades of marriage. So I reserved us a romantic weekend getaway at our favorite B&B by the lake. On the morning of our anniversary, I presented Bonny with a gift box containing a beautiful pair of gems stud earrings. As she slid them on, she was still beautiful as we were young.
