Jen and I met while we were both studying architecture at university in San Diego.
Jen and I met while we were both studying architecture at university in San Diego. I was immediately drawn to her kind smile, sharp intellect and passion for design. After dating for two years, I popped the question on a beach at sunset just like in the cheesy rom-coms she loves. Fast forward a decade and we've built a happy life together in Los Angeles where we both work as architects. For our 10th anniversary, I wanted to do something special to celebrate our journey together so far. I booked a private beach house for the weekend in Malibu. On the morning of our anniversary, I surprised Jen with a bouquets of 10 roses, one for each year we've been married. Her eyes lit up with joy as they always do at even the smallest gestures. That afternoon, we strolled along the shore hand in hand like we did so many years ago, chatting and laughing about memories from over the past 10 years. Both of our careers have grown substantially but what strikes me the most is how our love for each other has deepened and strengthened each year. That evening, we enjoyed a intimate beachside dinner prepared by a private chef with the moonlight sparkling on the ocean. As the waves lapped gently, we reminisced on all we had overcome together and looked forward to the adventures still ahead.
