Things have been a bit hectic with the little ones underfoot but Thomas really came through with a sweet surprise.
Things have been a bit hectic with the little ones underfoot but Thomas really came through with a sweet surprise. Was expecting our usual night at home after our baby bedtime but he told me to get dolled up - said we were going out! Turns out he booked us a cozy little cottage just outside the city for a weekend getaway, just the two of us. The food at the lodge restaurant was gut and it was nice not having to cook or clean for once, heh. We spent the days wandering through the surrounding vineyards and forests, helped me unwind from my desk job. At night we just sat talking for hours like we used to, felt like newlyweds again! On our actual anniversary Thomas gave me this beautiful necklace, said it reminded him of my eyes glittering in the sunset that first night we met. It was a perfect little vacation and so great to reconnect, away from the daily grind. I feel very lucky to call Thomas mein and look forward to making more special memories together.
