While our careers kept us busy, we had always made time for each other and our relationship. One of our favorite traditions was planning a special getaway to celebrate each anniversary milestone. For our 8th anniversary, we decided to do something a little more fun and spontaneous - we booked a last minute trip to Las Vegas to spend our anniversary weekend at Caesars Palace. Ava had no idea what I had planned, and I couldn't wait to see the smile on her face when we arrived at the hotel and headed up to our luxury suite overlooking the Vegas Strip. To kick things off, I had arranged a couples massage at the hotel spa, followed by a romantic dinner for two at one of the top steakhouses in the city. After our meal, we put on our most glamorous outfits and hit the casino floors to try our luck. No matter what happened at the roulette tables or slots, I knew the real jackpot was getting to spend that time with my best friend. At the end of the night, we relaxed in our room with champagne and looked back on all the amazing memories we'd made together over the past eight years.
