I'll never forget the first time I saw Emily two years ago. As a regular at my neighborhood Italian bistro, I noticed the her giving an impromptu performance one evening. Her poise and passion at the keys held me enchanted. When our eyes met between songs, I was struck by her warm smile. After song finished, I introduced myself, and ask her out next time. We returned to that special bistro on Emily's birthday, revisiting the table we first sat at side by side. Over wine and laughter, the staff sang to her with big smiles. After dessert, I presented Emily's gift - a pair of simple gold musical note earrings, hoping she would think of our song each time she wore them.
