As a lawyer, I spend my days advocating for my clients, but 30 years ago I found myself needing an advocate of my own. It was during a particularly brutal legal battle. I was feeling overwhelmed and on the verge of burning out. That's when Rowena suddenly appeared in the courtroom - quite literally like a guardian angel. She had been sent by my law firm to assist with research and strategy sessions. From our very first meeting, Rowena helped reinvigorate my passion for the law with her insightful perspective, steadfast dedication to truth and justice, and ability to think ten steps ahead of the opposition. Her calm, yet fiery spirit reminded me why I had pursued this career in the first place. Before we knew it, our late nights poring over case files had turned into evenings getting to know each other over vintage wine and long conversations under the twinkling Austin skyline. Rowena challenged my mind while soothing my soul. I knew I had met my perfect partner. These past three decades, Rowena has been my rock and greatest ally both inside and outside the courtroom. I'm eternally grateful that serendipity brought this remarkable woman into my life. I look forward to creating many more cherished memories with my best friend and inspiration.
