For our 4th anniversary, Flynn surprised me by taking me to see the giant redwoods inland.

For our 4th anniversary, Flynn surprised me by taking me to see the giant redwoods inland. We hiked deep into Cathedral Grove, towering trees enveloping us in cool shade. At a sunny clearing, Flynn had laid out a picnic blanket. But when I turned around, Flynn was down on one knee with a ring in his hand. Overwhelmed, I tearfully said yes. We celebrated our engagement amongst the ancient sentinels, their strength and endurance a symbol of the roots we've grown. Hand in hand, we left feeling small yet buoyant, ready to embark on our next chapter together among the quiet giants.
