Who says anniversaries have to be all fancy dinners? Not us!
Who says anniversaries have to be all fancy dinners? Not us! For our fifth, Cara and I decided to ditch the traditional stuff and go on an adventure instead. We packed up our old VW van and hit the road, no real destination in mind. First stop? This tiny BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere. The ribs were to die for! Then we stumbled upon a quirky roadside attraction – the world's largest ball of twine. Sounds lame, but we laughed so hard taking silly pictures. As night fell, we found a secluded spot to park and watch the stars. We ended up camping for three days, exploring little towns and just enjoying each other's company. Best anniversary ever, hands down. Sometimes, the unplanned moments are the most precious.
