I never expected my 28th birthday to be anything special.

I never expected my 28th birthday to be anything special. Jake, my boyfriend of three years, told me he had to work late, so I figured we'd just grab a quick dinner afterward. Boy, was I wrong! When I got home, there was a note on the door telling me to follow the trail of rose petals. Intrigued, I stepped inside to find a path leading upstairs to our bedroom. There, laid out on the bed, was a gorgeous dress with another note: "Put this on and meet me at our favorite spot." My heart racing, I quickly changed and headed to the park where we had our first date. As I rounded the corner, I saw Jake standing there, surrounded by twinkling lights and all our friends and family. He got down on one knee, pulled out the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen, and asked me to marry him. Through happy tears, I said yes! It was the best birthday surprise ever, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
