I was turning 50 this year.

I was turning 50 this year. Though Dad and Mom were in their late 80s now, their love for me remained as strong as ever. On my special day, they surprised me with a homemade breakfast and bouquets of tulips, my favorite. Over steaming mugs of tea, we shared fond memories and laughter that felt like pure joy. After lunch together, Mom presented a velvet box, inside was a delicate pair of drop earrings, three stones symbolizing us - a ruby, emerald and sapphire twinkling together. I felt grateful beyond words for the family and memories we had built - side by side, through every season.
