As Emma and I marked our 5th wedding anniversary, it felt extra special since the date also happened to be the 2nd birthday of our wonderful son Charlie.
As Emma and I marked our 5th wedding anniversary, it felt extra special since the date also happened to be the 2nd birthday of our wonderful son Charlie. From the moment this little Ball of energy entered our lives 2 years ago, he has brought us immeasurable joy. To celebrate both milestones together as a family, I planned a backyard party with all of Charlie's favorite snacks and activities. Watching Emma's smile as she blew out the candles on Charlie's cake alongside him, I felt so happy. After Charlie went to bed, Emma and I shared a private moment under the sparkling lights I'd strung. I presented her with a ring box, hoping she would like my anniversary gift. Emma slid it onto her finger as happy tears welled, placing her hands on either side of my face and kissing me. In that moment, I felt deeply blessed.
