For our 2nd wedding anniversary, Joseph surprised me with a weekend getaway to our alma mater where we met. We had a blast walking down memory lane, taking photos at our old dorms and favorite campus spots. But the biggest surprise came during a romantic picnic dinner under the trees at the spot where Joseph first asked me to be his girlfriend. As I was opening a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling cider to toast, I noticed a small box inside. When I opened it, I found a new wedding ring. Joseph had it especially made to represent the next chapter of our lives together. It was the most touching gift and the perfect way to celebrate how far we've come since college - I'll cherish that ring forever.
