As the first anniversary of our wedding day approached, Evan and I were filled with joy and thinking back on the incredible journey we've embarked on together since exchanging vows. Though it seems like only yesterday that we pledged our lives to one another surrounded by loved ones, an entire year had already passed in the blink of an eye. To celebrate this meaningful milestone, my sweet husband surprised me a weekend getaway to our favorite city. Evan made reservations at our favorite bistro which could overlook the town square. Over glasses of wine and lingering conversations, Evan presented me a small gift. Inside lay a custom heart necklace, engraved with our initials and our wedding date. These little gestures show me time and again why I fell so deeply in love.
