Last weekend, I celebrated eight wonderful years of marriage to my best friend Sarah.
Last weekend, I celebrated eight wonderful years of marriage to my best friend Sarah. Being right on the lake, Sarah and I often enjoy relaxing at our home overlooking the scenic harbor. For our anniversary, we had a cozy picnic on the deck as the sun sank below the rippling waters. After eating, we took a long stroll along the beach with Monte, our lovely dog. I feel so lucky to call this serene lakeside community our hometown. But it's Sarah's compassion and zest for life that really make it feel like home. Back inside, we curled up beside the fire with mugs of hot cider. Sarah's giggle at one of Monte's silly antics never fails to lift my mood after difficult days serving others. I'm grateful beyond words for the family and happiness she brings me amongst these rugged North Shore hills.
