To celebrate our golden anniversary, all of our family came home and we renewed our vows in the very same spot James first slipped a promise ring on my finger - a lavender field. It was so very special to declare our enduring love again after 50 years. A few weeks later, we took a road trip visiting all the meaningful places from our early years together. Reconnecting through wonderful memories filled my heart with joy and gratitude for this man who is my home. As we held hands watching the sunset, I couldn't wait to make new adventures alongside my best friend for the rest of our days.
