We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary in Bordeaux, to explore the picturesque vineyards and charming medieval villages dotting the landscape. One afternoon, as we wandered the cobbled streets of St-Émilion surrounded by lush vineyards, Marguerite stopped to sketch the striking Rock of Saint-Émilion in her notebook. When she showed me her drawing later, I was touched by her ability to capture the natural beauty we were experiencing through her artistic lens. It reminded me yet again why I fell in love with her creative spirit. To commemorate our anniversary, I arranged a private wine tasting for us at a renowned chateau, sampling vintages while taking in sweeping views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Reflecting on four years of marriage amid the scenery that first brought us together as young travelers was truly unforgettable.
