Naomi and I have made our home in the Drakensberg mountains for the past 5 years. As avid hikers, we often explore the rugged contours of this landscape that never cease to awe. For our 4th anniversary, we set out on a multi-day trek along one of the more remote hiking trails. The narrow path wound steeply upwards, revealing breathtaking vistas with each turn. On the final afternoon, spent yet happy, we stopped to rest beside a rushing stream. Naomi smiled as I pulled out a picnic and her gift - tickets to return in later years when wanderlust calls us again to this special place.
