Veronica and I grew up together in the same small Tennessee town.
Veronica and I grew up together in the same small Tennessee town. We were classmates. After graduation, Veronica went to study teaching and I started coaching basketball at the local community college.Two decades passed in a blur as we built a life and family together. Now in our mid-fifty, our two boys were in college. To commemorate 25 incredible years of marriage, I arranged a weekend trip back to our alma mater. Strolling the halls hand in hand, memories came flooding back. That evening over a dinner, I thanked Veronica for her unwavering partnership, friendship and for being the best mother. Pulling out a jewelry box, I opened it to reveal a gold anniversary band engraved with our wedding date. Sliding it onto her finger, Veronica beamed brighter than any starry Tennessee night.
