Carrie and I met during our freshman year of college and have been together ever since, through six incredible years of adventures. This Valentine's Day, I wanted to make it extra special. I cooked Carrie's favorite dishes and lit candles around our apartment. When it came time for dessert, I asked Carrie to close her eyes and open her mouth. Instead of the chocolate mousse I had prepped, she discovered a ring on her spoon. As I dropped to one knee holding the ring, Carrie's eyes filled with tears. Looking down at me, she laughed and cried at the same time. "A million times yes," Carrie replied. As I slipped the ring onto her finger, my heart was full knowing I would get to create new memories with Carrie by my side for many years to come.
