Claire and I met 5 years ago. I was running my father's bakery, and she worked at the cafe across the square. From the first day her sparkling eyes caught mine, I was enchanted. Over the months, we found every excuse to linger in each other's company. Strolling the lavender fields hand in hand, I fell harder for Claire's kind soul and zest for life. When I finally worked up the courage to kiss her, I knew this was real. Now five incredible years later, we live together above the bakery with our rescue pup Malou. To commemorate our anniversary, I baked Claire's favorite tarte au citron. As we shared a bottle of locally sourced wine in our colorful kitchen, I thanked her for her constant inspiration and support of my dreams. Our little village will always be home, but it is Claire who sets my heart most alive with her radiant spirit.
