We have been married now for 4 years.
We have been married now for 4 years. I still remember the day I first met Emily - it was at a company picnic. As soon as I laid eyes on her beautiful smile and kind eyes, I was smitten. Throughout the afternoon I did my best to chat with her and get to know this wonderful woman. We started dating soon after and it didn't take long for me to know that Emily was the one. Two years later, I asked her to be my wife in a romantic sunset proposal by the beach. Fast forward to today, and I am so thankful that Emily said "yes" that fateful day. Our marriage has been everything I could have hoped for and more. While our careers and busy schedules keep us busy, Emily and I make sure to cherish the special moments we have together. For our 4th wedding anniversary, I wanted to do something extra special to show Emily how much she means to me. I arranged for us to go away for a long weekend at a cozy cabin by a lake here in Virginia. It was so relaxing to get away from it all and just focus on each other. In the evenings after cooking dinner together, Emily and I would cuddle by the fireplace and reminisce about our journey so far. I am constantly in awe of Emily's strength, compassion, and joy for life. She still manages to surprise me every day with her kindness, humor and ability to make even my toughest days at work brighter. Our love has continued to deepen over the years and I am so thankful that God brought this angel into my life.
