That afternoon, Daniel suggested we go to the beach for some fun in the sun. We spent a few hours relaxing in the warm sand, building elaborate castles and having splash fights in the shallow water. I loved seeing Daniel 's carefree smile as we played like kids together. Once the sun started to sink low on the horizon, we took a long stroll barefoot along the shoreline. Daniel and I gazed out at the ocean, reminiscing about our lives together in Miami over the past 6 years. I felt incredibly grateful to be sharing this moment with the man I love, in our beautiful hometown. As the colors of the sunset painted brilliant shades of orange and pink across the sky, I thanked Daniel once more for this thoughtful anniversary celebration. Enjoying a relaxing day at the beach together made the perfect way to commemorate another year of marriage. I feel lucky to call Miami, and Daniel, home.
