Amelia loves the beach, so I planned a weekend getaway to the beach. The forecast said it would be cloudy but I knew Amelia wouldn't mind. On Saturday afternoon we went for a long walk along the shore. The beach was almost empty due to the weather. As we walked, I started feeling nerves bubbling up in my stomach. We stopped to look out at the ocean waves. I turned to Amelia, took her hands in mine and said "Am, I love you with all my heart. Will you marry me?" Through tears of joy, she said yes. I was thrilled but also relief as my anxiousness washed away. We celebrated with a picnic dinner on the beach, watching the waves and gazing at each other with smiles filled with happiness and promise of our future together. It was the perfect proposal for our perfect match, and I'll never forget that cloudy day that became the best day of my life.
