I never expected to find love at church, but then I met Jacob.
I never expected to find love at church, but then I met Jacob. There was an instant spark between us. Though we attended different services, we grew close through long Facebook messages and phone calls. On our first date to the corn maze, I was nervous but excited. Jacob put me at ease with his warm smile and easy laugh. As the pandemic raged around us, he became my source of joy. Our bond deepened over countless cozy nights together. On our anniversary, Jacob planned a surprise hiking trip. I gasped at the stunning mountain views, more beautiful because I shared them with him. At the top, he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee. "Emma, will you marry me?" he asked, his eyes filled with hope. Tears streamed down my face as I uttered the word "Yes." Jacob embraced me tightly, and in that moment I knew our love would endure forever, like the towering peaks all around us.
