My boyfriend Blake and I try to spend every Sunday exploring a new trail together. This week, Blake asked me to pack a picnic for a lush woodland not far from town. As we hiked in, I noticed Blake seemed nervous which wasn't like him. When we arrived at a beautiful meadow, I gasped at the romantic scene he had created. After we ate, Blake took my hands and looked deeply into my eyes. "Emma, you are the light of my life. These past five years with you have been the happiest of my life. I can't imagine a future without you by my side. Will you marry me?" Through happy tears, I exclaimed “Yes!" As he slipped the ring on my finger, I beamed at the man who had turned my world upside down in the best way possible. I'm overjoyed to soon call this place, this man and our life together my forever home between the trees.
