Who says long-distance relationships can't work? Olivia and I proved everyone wrong. We met at a tech conference in San Francisco, hit it off immediately, and spent the next year and a half flying back and forth between Austin and Boston. It wasn't easy, but it was so worth it. When I finally popped the question (with a stunning ring from SheSaidYes, I might add), we knew we wanted a wedding that reflected our journey. So, we decided on a destination wedding in Hawaii – right in the middle of our two cities. The ceremony was on the beach at sunset, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Olivia looked like a goddess in her flowing dress, and I'll never forget the moment I saw her walking towards me. We incorporated elements from both our cultures, and our vows included inside jokes about our countless video calls and airport reunions. The reception was a perfect blend of elegance and fun. We had a Hawaiian-inspired feast, danced under the stars, and even had a surprise fireworks display. It was the perfect way to celebrate our love and the start of our new life together in the same city – finally!
