Valentine's Day isn't usually a big deal for Erik and me.
Valentine's Day isn't usually a big deal for Erik and me. We're not the type for grand gestures or overpriced set menus. But this year was different. I woke up to find Erik had already left for work, leaving behind a cryptic note: "Dress warm. Adventure awaits." Intrigued, I went about my day, my mind buzzing with possibilities. As evening fell, Erik picked me up, a mischievous glint in his eye. We drove out of the city, the landscape growing more rural by the minute. Finally, we arrived at a clearing in a snow-covered forest. "Close your eyes," Erik said, leading me forward. When I opened them, I gasped. Before us stood a glass igloo, the Northern Lights dancing overhead. "Happy Valentine's Day," he whispered, pulling me close. We spent the night stargazing, sipping hot chocolate, and talking about our dreams. It was just us, surrounded by nature's beauty, creating a memory to last a lifetime.
