Emma and I have lived in Chicago since we married four years ago. While I love the energy of the city, I sometimes long for wide open spaces. So for our anniversary, I arranged a weekend getaway to rural Illinois. After driving through rolling farmland for hours, we arrived at a cozy bed and breakfast. The following days were spent immersed in quiet natural beauty. We hiked wooded trails , enjoying leisurely picnics overlooking secluded valleys. At night we stargazed from the porch, blankets of stars above mirroring our deepening bond. On our anniversary morning, Emma and I walked hand in hand down a deserted country road. Pausing to share a coffee in the peaceful solitude, I reflected on how far we've come. Her steadfast support has meant everything as we've adjusted to married life. Being surrounded by such serenity reignited my appreciation for the life we're building and future stretching before us, as endless as the pastoral landscape around us. I felt grateful for Emma's love and partnership, the foundation that keeps our dreams growing strong.
