I never expected to find love in a crowded airport, but a cancelled flight changed everything. I was stuck there for hours, and I started talking to this guy James who was sitting next to me. He worked with numbers and business stuff, and it was actually kind of funny - he was super chill about the whole delay, talking about how it affects the airline's business. Somehow, that made me feel better about being stuck there! We ended up talking for hours about all sorts of things. He told me about his work with money and markets (in a way that actually made sense!), and I told him about my love for art. It was cute how he tried to understand my artsy side, and I was kind of fascinated by how his brain worked - always thinking in patterns and numbers.When we finally got on the plane, we swapped phone numbers. We both knew this wasn't just some random airport chat. After that, we spent tons of time talking on the phone super late at night and visiting each other on weekends. When our one-year dating anniversary came around, he planned this amazing surprise - a hot air balloon ride! He's such a nerd (in the best way) - he actually figured out the perfect height for the best view. That's where he proposed, right as the sun was coming up over the city. Now it's been three years since we got married, and we're at our favorite restaurant. He gave me this cute wrapped box with this gorgeous bracelet inside. Looking back, it's crazy how well we fit together - me with my art stuff, him with his numbers and logic. Life's been way better than I could've imagined when I was stuck in that airport!
