Samuel and I have always loved the peace and tranquility of nature, so for our 50th wedding anniversary we rented a cozy cabin nestled deep in the mountains, far from the bustle of city life.
Samuel and I have always loved the peace and tranquility of nature, so for our 50th wedding anniversary we rented a cozy cabin nestled deep in the mountains, far from the bustle of city life. Just being with Samuel in this romantic forest setting has brought me such joy. We spent our days exploring trails, pointing out different birds and trees to one another, and curling up by the fire with mugs of tea in the evening. It feels like we're newlyweds again! One night, during a romantic homemade dinner by the fireplace, Samuel gave a heartfelt toast about our incredible life together. I couldn't hold back the tears as I thought of how far we've come from that shy library-loving college couple. As I looked across the table at my dear Samuel, his eyes still shining with the same love I saw fifty years ago, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude and affection. Being here in this isolated cabin has allowed us privacy to reflect on our journey and reminisce about old times. I'm so grateful for Samuel and for the family we've built. I look forward to creating many more nature-filled anniversaries together, side by side, for years to come.
