Ezra&Maia
Our wedding was anything but traditional.
Our wedding was anything but traditional. Maia and I are avid rock climbers, so we decided to say our vows on top of the Stawamus Chief in Squamish. We woke up at dawn and started the hike with our small group of family and friends. It was tough going, especially in our wedding outfits, but the view at the top was worth it. As we exchanged rings, a bald eagle soared overhead – it felt like a blessing from nature itself. After the ceremony, we all rappelled down together, laughing and cheering the whole way. Our reception was a laid-back barbecue by the lake, with fairy lights strung between the trees and a bonfire roaring as the sun set. We danced barefoot on the grass, shared stories around the fire, and ended the night with a midnight swim. It wasn't your typical wedding, but it was perfectly us – adventurous, intimate, and surrounded by the wilderness we love.
