With kids in preschool now, John and I decided to celebrate our 6th anniversary with a night away from parenting duties.

With kids in preschool now, John and I decided to celebrate our 6th anniversary with a night away from parenting duties. We got a sitter for the kids and went to a hotel near the coast. After dropping the kids off, we enjoyed our holiday, holding hands and slowing down to really listen to each other. The next morning, we slept in and had room service breakfast in bed. It was a luxurious little getaway just for us two. Being able to connect without distractions and mark our milestone in a relaxed way felt very special.
