We drove to our favorite park in the city, the one where we had our first picnic date years ago.
We drove to our favorite park in the city, the one where we had our first picnic date years ago. As we walked down the trails hand in hand, I smiled seeing familiar places that held so many memories. Erik had packed a beautiful picnic for us to enjoy in a sunny clearing filled with wildflowers. We fed each other berries and bread as we reminisced about our relationship over the past five years. In the afternoon, we explored parts of the park we hadn't visited before. Erik took pictures of me posing by my favorite flowers and trees, captured in candid moments of happiness. For dinner, we ate at our favorite restaurant overlooking the park. As the sun set over the treeline, painting the sky orange, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude for Erik and the life we've built together. Walking through the illuminated park pathways on our way to the car, I reflected on how lucky I am to be sharing this special day with the love of my life in a place that holds such meaning for us.
