For our 30th wedding anniversary, I wanted to do something extra special.

For our 30th wedding anniversary, I wanted to do something extra special. I arranged a weekend getaway for us to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the picturesque town we visited so long ago on our 10th. But this time, I surprised Christine by recreating our entire first date there. We had coffee and strudel at the same bistro, then took a romantic walk along the medieval walls at sunset just as we had two decades prior. The smile on her face as the memories came flooding back made all the effort worthwhile.
