As we wandered through the exhibits, reliving our childhood favorites, Liam seemed distracted. I figured he was just overwhelmed by the nostalgia. When we reached the rooftop garden, with its life-sized robot from "Castle in the Sky," Liam suddenly dropped to one knee. He pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him, right there under Laputa's guardian. I was so shocked I almost forgot to say yes! It turns out he'd been planning this for months, even learning how to ask for permission in Japanese. We spent the rest of our trip in a love-struck daze, celebrating with ramen and sake. Now, whenever we watch a Ghibli film, we're transported back to that magical moment. It wasn't just a proposal; it was the perfect blend of our shared passions and the beginning of our greatest adventure together.
