I just celebrated 40 wonderful years married to my sweet Bill!
I just celebrated 40 wonderful years married to my sweet Bill! We've surely been through a lot together over the decades. Raising the kids, helping the grandkids move out on their own. But through it all Billy's been my solid rock. To celebrate our ruby anniversary, he surprised me with a trip down memory lane. First we visited all our old stomping grounds - that little fixer upper of our first home, the park where he proposed under the stars. And of course we had to stop by the very church where we said "I do" all those years ago. Brought back such warm fuzzies! But the biggest shock was when Bill had secretly arranged for our whole family - kids, grandkids, the works - to meet us at our favorite lake spot. They all pitched in to throw us the biggest bash, with homemade pies and a three tier cake just like our wedding. I tell ya, seeing five generations of love all in one place had this old gal pretty darn emotional! 40 years surely flies by when you're with your soulmate. I feel beyond blessed to have found my one true love in Bill and I can't wait to make many more special memories together, wherever this road may lead us. And who knows, maybe wedding number 50 is in our future!
