Emily is really into planning things so she surprised me with a long weekend getaway to Whistler for our anniversary.
Emily is really into planning things so she surprised me with a long weekend getaway to Whistler for our anniversary. She knew I had been stressed at work so some time away was just what I needed. When I think of Emily, I think of how caring, thoughtful and fun she is. We arrived in Whistler on a Friday afternoon and settled into our cozy hotel. That evening we wandered around the village checking out the shops and restaurants. I could tell Emily was already relaxed. The next day, we slept in and then Emily booked us a couples massage. It was heaven! We spent the afternoon hiking some easy trails and taking in the gorgeous mountain scenery. On our actual anniversary Sunday, Emily surprised me by getting us reservations at one of the nicer restaurants in the village. I was touched by the effort she put into making our dinner special. We enjoyed a delicious meal while chatting and laughing, just enjoying each other's company. It was the perfect end to a perfect getaway and anniversary for us. I'm so grateful to have Emily in my life!
