We first crossed paths in a bustling coffee shop in the heart of the city. I was engrossed in a manuscript, and Iris, a talented photographer, was there capturing the essence of city life. She asked if she could take my picture, saying I looked like "a character from a forgotten era." That was our first story. Our life together has been a series of adventures. We've lived in different parts of the city, from a tiny studio in Brooklyn to a loft in the Upper East Side. We've traveled extensively for our careers, sometimes apart, but always finding our way back to each other. We never had children, choosing instead to focus on our careers, our passions, and each other. Our home is filled with books and photographs, tangible memories of our shared journey. Our love story isn't a single narrative, but a collection of moments, each one a unique story in our anthology of love.
