I awake as the morning sun filters through the window, my mind drifting back sixty years. I remember the nerves I felt waiting at that little chapel, hoping Susan would still choose me. So much has happened since. As a retired Air Force officer, our love withstood countless moves and long deployments. But Susan was always my port in any storm. Now in our farmhouse, I treasure this golden chapter we've built. All our loved ones gather to celebrate us. I beam with pride at the legacy Susan and I have created together. As dusk falls, I take her hand, feeling that spark I always have. Susan remains my touchstone, best friend and love after sixty gifted years. Whatever the future holds, having Susan by my side is all I'll ever need.
