We met eight years ago when Jacob was brought in to help fix some issues with my classroom's technology cart. I was impressed by his knowledge and patience as he troubleshot the problems. Soon we realized we had a lot in common and started dating. For our fifth dating anniversary, Jacob planned a cruise along Alaska's Inside Passage. One of our excursions was to the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau. As we walked along the nature trail taking in the stunning views of the glacier and waterfall, I was in total awe of the natural beauty surrounding us. That's when Jacob suddenly dropped to one knee and looked deep into my eyes. "Emma, I love you more every day. Will you renew your vows with me here in this magical place?" overjoyed, I said yes without hesitation. We had our private renewal ceremony down by the secluded beach, with the roar of the waterfall and towering glacier as our witness. It was truly the most perfect and romantic moment of my life, celebrating our love in such a breathtaking setting. That Alaskan anniversary trip will always be one of my most cherished memories with my new husband Jacob.
