For our 6th wedding anniversary, Jacob surprised me with plans for a weekend getaway. When he told me we were staying in Indianapolis, I was curious what he had in mind since we live here. Jacob took me around the city. We explored the beautiful downtown parks, stopped in small local shops, and stumbled upon a street festival. As the sun set over the city skyline, we took a romantic carriage ride through the illuminated streets. That evening, Jacob made reservations at my favorite restaurant overlooking the Central Canal. Over delicious food and champagne, we reminisced about our life together in Indianapolis over the past years. I felt incredibly grateful. I thanked Jacob for this special weekend celebrating our marriage right here in our beautiful hometown. Getting to enjoy familiar places with the man I love made it extra meaningful.
