I met Alex at our college reunion.
I met Alex at our college reunion. I work at an art gallery, and he's a financial analyst. What caught my attention was how he could talk about numbers and money in such an interesting way - it was almost like listening to someone tell a story. We're pretty different people - I'm all about art and creativity, while he's super logical and analytical. But somehow, that's what makes us work so well together. Last week, Alex asked me to take a walk with him in the park where we had our first date. As we were walking, I saw something weird - there were little blackboards hanging from the trees. Each one had some kind of graph on it. I was really confused and looked at Alex to figure out what was going on."Look at this first one," he said, pointing to a line going up. "This shows how much happier I've been since I met you." My heart started racing as we walked past each board. Every graph showed something special about our relationship. The last board was really sweet - it had two lines that came together to make a heart shape. Alex held my hand, and I could tell he was nervous. "Emily," he said, his voice shaking a bit, "falling in love with you is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Will you marry me?" I couldn't believe it when he pulled out this beautiful ring. Of course, I said "Yes!" right away and hugged him so tight. It was just so... Alex. Only he would think of using graphs and charts to propose, and somehow he made it the most romantic thing ever.
