I crossed paths with Theodore at a local music festival in Asheville, where I was captivated by his soulful performance. His music touched my heart and I couldn't resist reaching out. Our love story took a turn for the magical during a winter trip to the Smoky Mountains in 2023. We had planned a quiet getaway with a few close friends to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The day before our scheduled hike, Theodore suggested a spontaneous sunrise trek. As we navigated the icy trails under the faint glow of dawn, I felt a sense of peace and exhilaration. The world was silent except for the crunch of our boots on the snow. As we reached the summit, the first rays of sunlight began to spill over the mountains, bathing the world in a soft, golden light. It was then that Theodore turned to me, his eyes reflecting the sunrise. He knelt on one knee, his breath fogging up in the cold air, and asked me to be his forever. I was stunned, tears welling up in my eyes as I nodded, unable to speak. We laughed and cried, hugging each other tightly as the sun continued to rise, marking the start of our new journey together.We often joke that we scaled the heights of love that day, a fitting metaphor for our adventurous spirits.
