To celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, I wanted to do something low-key but special as a family.
To celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, I wanted to do something low-key but special as a family. Chloe had been asking to explore the countryside, so we packed a picnic and headed over for the day. Watching her run excitedly through the colorful blooms brought Emily and I nostalgia for our early dates exploring the island. We spent the afternoon leisurely strolling the forests holding hands, stopping to admire new plants and reminisce about memories from the past decade. Chloe darted ahead, always curious about something new. Her free spirit reminded us why we adored raising a child together. By evening, tired legs and rumbling bellies led us to enjoy our picnic on a grassland. As Chloe dozed against my shoulder, Emily and I appreciated how peacefully our lives had grown together through joys large and small. Our family and partnership brought more fulfillment than I could have imagined 10 years ago. I felt incredibly grateful looking to the future we'd continue building at our daughter's side.
