We have been married for 4 years now.
We have been married for 4 years now. Javier and I met while we were both studying law at University. Our first date was like something out of a romantic movie. It was pouring rain outside but Javier insisted on taking me to the beach to watch the sunset. We sat under his umbrella sharing a bottle of wine as the sky turned pink and orange. From that moment, I knew he was special. We got married a year after graduating. The ceremony was intimate with just close friends and family on the beaches of Coruña. It was one of the happiest days of my life pledging to love Javier for the rest of my days. These past 4 years have been a whirlwind. Javier and I both started our careers as lawyers in Coruña while starting a family. Our beautiful 2-year-old daughter Lucia is the light of our lives. While juggling busy schedules and parenthood has been an adjustment, our love and commitment to each other has only deepened. To celebrate our 4th anniversary, Javier arranged a weekend getaway just for the two of us. We drove up the coast. It felt like we were students again, wandering the beaches hand in hand. At sunset, Javier surprised me with a beautiful gold necklace. As I looked into his loving eyes, I felt so grateful for this man and the beautiful life we have built together. Here's to many more years of sunsets, wine and growing old alongside my best friend.
