My husband John and I have been together for 31 wonderful years now.
My husband John and I have been together for 31 wonderful years now. We met while teaching at the same elementary school. It was love at first staff meeting! We bonded over our love of teaching and our passions for traveling the world. After dating for a few years, John planned the perfect proposal for me during a weekend getaway in Mexico. I said yes, of course! We tied the knot in the schoolyard surrounded by our students and colleagues. These days we've retired from teaching but our lust for adventure remains. Each anniversary we pick a new country to explore together, most recently New Zealand where we hiked the Milford Track. Back home in Austin, we spend our days volunteering at our old school, surrounded by the laughter and joys of little learners once again.
