Nancy and I have come a long way over the past 46 years together.
Nancy and I have come a long way over the past 46 years together. We were highschool sweethearts who married young and had our whole lives ahead of us to figure out. Now in our 70s, I'm amazed by everything we've experienced - building careers, raising our two children who have given us the greatest joy through grandchildren too. Long past the chaos of busy careers and parenthood, we cherish this slower-paced time to focus on each other. Sitting front porch swings as the sun goes down talking for hours makes me feel like a lovesick teenager all over again. Nancy brings me endless laughter, comfort and beautiful memories from every chapter of our adventure together. Though we aren't able to celebrate as extravagantly now, spending time reminiscing was special enough. Nancy reminds me that home isn't a place, it's a person - and she will forever be my home and best friend. I'm grateful for our forever and look forward to the days still unfolding hand in hand.
